President Al-Sharaa issues a decree allowing undergraduate and postgraduate students interrupted by the revolution to reapply

Damascus, SANA – President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued on Monday Decree No. (95) of 2025, allowing undergraduate and postgraduate students interrupted by the revolution from the academic year 2010-2011 to date, to apply to return to their previous enrollment in public and private universities.

Students of transitional years are subject to the course reward, according to the approved study plan at the university, except for graduate students, who are treated according to the plans approved before the interruption period.

According to the decree, the student’s interruption periods are considered a registration suspension, and are not counted among the suspension periods specified in the executive regulations of the university organization law, and the student’s status is adjusted accordingly.
