Tartous-SANA- The Civil Defense firefighting teams extinguished on Friday evening a major fire in the forests of a village near Baniyas, in Tartous province.
The firefighting operations continued for more than ten hours, in light of the great difficulties faced by the teams due to the rugged terrain and high temperatures, Civil Defense posted on its account on the X platform.
