Damascus, SANA- Minister of Information Dr. Hamza al-Mustafa discussed Thursday with the Head of the Arab Writers Union, Muhammad Taha Othman, establishing a joint mechanism that regulates publishing books and manuscripts within a free and creative legal framework.
Al-Mustafa affirmed the Ministry’s openness to cooperate with the Union in this process, develop a code of conduct for publishing and to promote freedom of thinking and just competitiveness in Media Market.
Both sides agreed to conclude a protocol of cooperation between the Ministry and the Union to overcome obstacles, facilitate the work of publishers and increase media coverage of the Union’s activities.
