Hama, SANA- In a move that reflects the recovery of the Syrian industrial sector, the smelting plant of the General Company for Iron and Steel Products in Hama resumed its operations on Monday. The resumption process was following the completion of comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation work carried out by national cadres and experts.
This achievement will boost the local economy by producing industrial “Billet material” to international standards, supporting the heavy industry chain and accelerating the pace of reconstruction.
“ Hama Iron Factory is one of the largest economic facilities in Syria, and it was reoperated after great efforts by the technical and engineering cadres in the factory,” Representative of the Ministry of Economy and Industry in Hama Governorate, Abdullah Zaza , said in a statement to a SANA reporter.
