It consists of three floors and includes 22 classrooms, in addition to a laboratory, an art studio, and an information room equipped with solar energy to promote reliance on sustainable energy sources.

In his speech, Minister Turko expressed his pride in the support provided by the German government to the education sector in Syria, stressing the importance of boosting bilateral cooperation to improve the educational infrastructure and create a suitable environment for students’ return to school, especially in areas that have been destroyed.

For her part, Toitzke noted that the reopening of the school comes within the framework of the local community’s efforts and sacrifices, noting the importance of supporting the integration of students with special needs and providing them with an appropriate educational environment.

Director of Education for the Damascus Countryside, Fadi Nahzat, said that the school currently accommodates 580 students, and that work is underway to ensure the resumption of official school hours at the beginning of the next academic year.

He emphasized that education remains the fundamental pillar for developing students’ skills and empowering them to build Syria’s new future.
