Syria, Bahrain explores ways to Strengthen Cooperation in telecommunications and technology Field

Damascus, SANA Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Haykal, met Monday with Bahraini Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar to discuss opportunities for enhancing cooperation, exchanging expertise, and reactivating agreements in the fields of telecommunications, technology, and digital transformation.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry headquarters, Minister Haykal emphasized the direct impact of telecommunications and technology on quality of life by saving time, effort, and money.

He underscored the necessity of improving and advancing these sectors to meet citizens’ aspirations and benefit from the experiences of countries with expertise in these fields, highlighting Bahrain’s notable progress in telecommunications, technology, and electronic equipment.

For his part, Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar expressed Bahrain’s willingness to collaborate in providing expertise in digitalization, telecommunications, and electronic equipment.

He pointed out to Bahrain’s advanced experience in e-government, which has positioned the country as a regional hub for investment banks, insurance companies, and financial zones.
