Tourism Minister: Necessity of rehabilitating Some Archaeological Sites in Idleb given their cultural value

Damascus, SANA-Minister of Tourism, Mohammed al-Salhani stressed the importance of restoring and rehabilitating some archaeological sites in Idleb province, given their cultural and historical value, which constitute a fundamental pillar for revitalizing tourism.

In this regard, the Minister received Idleb Governor Mohammed Abdul Rahman at the Ministry building and discussed with him the state of tourism in the province with a view to revitalizing this sector as the tourist season approaches.

The meeting addressed the possibility of constructing hotels and tourist facilities, and rehabilitating the Carlton Hotel and Sheikh Issa Baths in the Darkoush area, given their tourist and historical importance.
