Damascus, SANA- Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Saleh discussed Wednesday with Film Director Mohammad Malas ways to revive Syria’s cinema cultural and national role.
The meeting focused on prominent challenges facing cinema and ways to restore its brilliance, keep up with the new generation aspirations and preserve creativity of its early pioneers.
The Minister emphasized the ministry’s commitment to supporting this sector with available resources to revitalize it, and produce content compatible to Syria’s history and present.
Director Mohammad Malas, born in 1945, is considered one of the most prominent pioneers of contemporary Syrian cinema.
Throughout his career, Malas had produced films of “Dreams of the City,” “The Night,”and”The Dream.”
