Bahrain: lifting sanctions is a positive step in Syria’s path toward building a modern

Manama, SANA–The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the European Union’s decision to lift economic sanctions on Syria, describing it as a positive step in Syria’s journey toward building a modern state and fulfilling the aspirations of its people for stability and prosperity.

In an official statement reported by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its firm and unwavering support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, security, and independence.

The statement also emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to assisting Syria’s recovery and reconstruction efforts, promoting sustainable peace and development, and restoring its influential role within the Arab, regional, and international spheres.
