Pakistan Welcomes the United States’ Decision to lift Sanctions imposed on Syria

Pakistan Welcomes the United States' Decision to lift Sanctions imposed on Syria

Islamabad, SANA-Pakistan welcomed the United States’ decision to lift sanctions imposed on Syria, marking a pivotal step towards regional stability and economic recovery.

In a statement issued by the Pakistani foreign ministry, Pakistan affirmed that this measure would contribute to enhancing Syria’s economic growth and supporting the reconstruction efforts undertaken by the Syrian authorities.

The ministry’s statement noted the commitment of all countries, particularly the United States, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, to their constructive efforts to achieve peace in Syria.

The ministry expressed Pakistan’s support for any Syrian-led and Syrian-owned solution, stressing that its country will remain steadfast in its support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
