Warsaw, SANA-EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron’s proposal to ease sanctions on Syria.

“We are currently in discussions about easing sanctions on Syria, and I am pleased to know that President Macron supports easing these sanctions.”Reuters quoted Kallas as saying during her visit to the Polish capital, Warsaw, on Thursday.
President Macron announced during a recent press conference with President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Paris that he would call on the European Union to lift sanctions on Syria when they are up for renewal next June.
