Economy Minister discusses possibility of supporting local projects in Idleb province

Idleb, SANA- Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar met Thursday, with a number of industrialists and traders in Idleb province.

During the meeting held at the Idleb Chamber of Commerce and Industry, they discussed the reality of industrial and commercial sectors, the challenges and proposals related to developing the work environment and supporting local projects.Economy Minister discusses possibility of supporting local projects in Idleb province

The Minister discussed with industrialists the possibility of establishing an industrial city east of Idleb, rehabilitating damaged factories, expanding the Bab al-Hawa Industrial City, and creating a free zone north of the province.

Minister al-Shaar emphasized the importance of partnerships with economic actors, noting that the ministry is working to provide the necessary facilities to stimulate investment and the economy in the liberated areas.

On a related context, Minister Al-Shaar, accompanied by the Governor of Idleb, conducted a tour of the wheat mill and the spinning mill, in which he was briefed on the reality of work in the mill and an assessment of its production capacity, in light of the challenges facing the food sector, in addition to assessing the reality of the factory, which was subjected to widespread destruction as a result of the bombing of the former regime.
