A Syrian Photojournalist wins an award for the photo of tyrants’ downfall, Georgia

A Syrian Photojournalist wins an award for the photo of tyrants' downfall, Georgia

Damascus, SANA- Photojournalist Omar Haj Kadour won the Best Photo award in the”Kolga Tbilisi Photo Award 2025″ held in Georgia in the category“one shot”, with his photo titled“The fall of tyrants, the end of the era of oppression and injustice.”A Syrian Photojournalist wins an award for the photo of tyrants' downfall, Georgia

Regarding the photo, Haj Kadour said in a statement to SANA: The photo was taken on December 28, 2024, and it documents the wreckage of the largest statue of Hafez al-Assad in Syria in Deir Atiya area at Damascus countryside province, after the people destroyed it with their own hands, declaring the victory of their will over fear and oppression on December 8, 2024.
