Damascus, SANA-Minister of Justice, Dr. Mazhar al-Wais, met with a delegation from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) today, as part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance cooperation with international organizations.
The meeting dealt with UNHCR’s programmes in Syria, highlighted the legal challenges facing its work, as well as the role of the Ministry of Justice in providing support and the proposed action plan, especially with regard to the issue of providing support to internally displaced persons and returnees from host communities.
