Syria, Sweden discuss cooperation in transportation field

Syria, Sweden discuss cooperation in transportation field

Damascus, SANA- Syria and Sweden discussed Wednesday means to bolster cooperation in transportation field.

That came during a meeting held at ministry’s building in Damascus between Minister of Transport Dr. Yarub Badr Chargé d’Affaires of Swedish Embassy, Jessica Svärdström.

‏The two sides explored development projects in transportation domains, as they stressed the necessity to follow practical steps to achieve common goals and benefit from Swedish experiences in transportation and communications fields.

Minister Badr underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, in a way that would serve the interests of both countries, particularly in transportation field through helping Syria rehabilitate and develop road and railway transportation system.

For her part, Svärdström expressed her country’s readiness to provide full support to the Syrian people in the transportation sector, noting to the probability of studying the proposed ideas and setting up necessary foundations for implementing them.
