No tolerance for insults against the Prophet (PBUH), Ministry of Justice affirms

Damascus, SANA- Ministry of Justice has affirmed that it will not tolerate insults directed at the Prophet Mohammad, (peace be upon him), in line with its commitment to protecting religious sanctities and symbols.

In an official statement regarding recent events in Jaramana, Damascus Countryside, the ministry emphasized the importance of resorting to the judiciary as a legitimate means to hold criminals and instigators of unrest accountable under existing legal procedures.

It urged citizens to abide by the law and refrain from inflammatory rhetoric and incitement, stressing that such actions constitute punishable offenses.

The ministry further stated that it is closely monitoring the necessary legal measures in coordination with the Public Prosecution and the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Interior. It called on all parties to adhere to the law and cooperate to uphold justice.
