President al-Sharaa receives phone call from Malaysian Prime Minister , during which he

Damascus, SANA-President Ahmad al-Sharaa received a phone call Sunday from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, during which the Prime Minister offered his warmest congratulations on the formation of the new Syrian government.

During the call, the Malaysian Prime Minister expressed his wishes for further prosperity, stability, and prosperity for the Syrian people.

He affirmed his country’s keenness to boost bilateral relations with the Syrian Arab Republic, noting the importance of opening new horizons for cooperation in various fields, particularly the economic sector.

The Malaysian Prime Minister stressed Malaysia’s readiness to encourage its companies to invest in Syria and contribute to reconstruction efforts, particularly in the energy, agriculture, education, and technology sectors.

Ibrahim also expressed interest in strengthening trade relations and expanding exchanges between the private sectors of the two countries, stressing the importance of strengthening cultural and scientific ties as well.

The Malaysian Prime Minister extended an official invitation to President Ahmad al-Sharaa to visit Malaysia at the earliest opportunity, to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the two peoples.

President al-Sharaa expressed, for his part, his deep gratitude for Malaysia’s supportive stance and the congratulations of its Prime Minister, emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic and development cooperation as part of Syria’s vision to open up to Asian and global partnerships and build a better future for the Syrian people.
