Ministry of Communications' judicial police seize two drones in Tartous city

Tartous, SANA – The judicial police of the Telecom Regulatory Authority, affiliated with the Ministry of Telecommunications, sized on Saturday two drones in Tartous city as part of a campaign it is conducting in this regard.

The two drones were sized from a store, adding that this campaign comes within the framework of the ongoing and accurate monitoring of violations, Director of the Police, Engineer Abdul Rahman Zidane, told SANA.

Zidane stressed that this measure aims to prevent interference with local networks and avoid potential damage to user data in terms of security, calling for adherence to the terms of its license and within its specified objectives.
Zidane explained that the implementation of these campaigns comes in accordance with the provisions of Telecommunications Law No. 18 of 2010 and its amendments, which prohibit the possession of drones and expose violators to legal liability.
