Lattakia-Tartous-SANA- The General Security Department directed its forces to restore security in Tartous and Lattakia, recovering huge quantities of stolen goods and arresting many thieves.
A security source said that following the destabilization and insecurity resulting from the actions of the remnants of the defunct regime, theft operations have spread widely in several areas on the Syrian coast.
We have directed our forces to restore security in the cities of Jableh, Tartous, Lattakia and their surroundings, and so far a large number and huge quantities of stolen goods have been recovered and many thieves have been arrested, the source added.
We recommend that our people in all regions immediately report any theft or assault through the known contact numbers, or by reporting to the nearest security point, the source concluded.
