Jordan exempts Syrian refugees from some customs duties

Amman, SANA- Jordanian Cabinet decided to exempt Syrian refugees from certain customs fees incurred on transporting household goods to their homeland, to facilitate their voluntary returning to Syria.

“The decision stipulated the exemption of the customs declaration for the furniture and luggage of Syrians returning voluntarily to Syria from the customs service fee,” Petra News Agency, quoted the Jordanian government spokesman, Mohammad Momani, as saying in a statement on Wednesday.

Momani affirmed the security, stability and territorial integrity of Syria was a Jordanian strategic interest, and at the same time condemned the Israeli bombing of areas in Syria, which constitutes a violation of Syrian sovereignty.
