Syrian and Qatari Civil Aviation Authorities sign MoU to boost Cooperation

Doha, SANA-The media office of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Qatari Civil Aviation Authority in Doha to enhance cooperation between the two sides.

“Based on an official invitation from the Qatari Civil Aviation Authority, a delegation from the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Syrian Arab Republic visited the State of Qatar.” The media office said in a statement to SANA.

It added that “during the visit, a series of important meetings and discussions were held that culminated in the signing of a MoU between the two sides to enhance cooperation in the civil aviation sector.”

The media office pointed out that the signing of the memorandum of understanding took place in an atmosphere of friendship, as the two sides expressed their desire to enhance bilateral relations in the field of civil aviation in the spirit of cooperation and full awareness of common interests.

It indicated that the memorandum of understanding between the two sides included many essential items, including air navigation and infrastructure, and cooperation in the field of training and development.

The Syrian delegation visited the Air Traffic Controllers Training Center in Doha, and it was agreed to sign an agreement to train Syrian air traffic controllers in Qatar.
