Doha, SANA-Qatar renewed its full support for Syria and welcomed the steps aimed at restructuring the Syrian State and enhancing national consensus and unity.
In a statement quoted by the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s effective contribution to all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people for freedom, development, prosperity and decent living.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the current critical stage in Syria requires the state to monopolize weapons in a single army that represents all components without exclusion, in order to preserve the country’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and in a way that paves the way for a peaceful transfer of power through a comprehensive political process.
