Lattakia, SANA- Some social media sites have reported fake information about the withdrawal of general security forces from a number of posts in Lattakia province.
“Some outlaw elements took advantage of those false information to carry out criminal acts by targeting sites belonging to the Ministry of Interior, but their attempts have failed, while three of the attackers were kept aside, and our operations continue to pursue the fleeing criminals,” Director of Security Department in Lattakia Governorate, Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Kneifati, told SANA.
Kneifati added that those rumors and actions aim to destabilize public security and stability in the region, and we stress again the need to be careful and not be drawn into false news, and we will crack down anyone who tries to undermine the country’s security.
