Raqqa, Oct. 8 (SANA) Security forces in Raqqa arrested a suspect carrying 27,200 “Zolam” narcotic pills on Thursday, the Drug Enforcement Department said.
The department said the operation was carried out in cooperation with the Internal Security Forces, following an ambush that led to the suspect’s arrest and the seizure of the pills.

Zolam is the brand name for alprazolam, a prescription drug that can cause dependence and misuse.
Separately, the Drug Enforcement Department, in coordination with the Internal Security Forces, launched a broad security campaign targeting drug dealers and users in several neighborhoods across Raqqa.
The campaign resulted in the arrest of several suspects and the confiscation of drug paraphernalia, according to the department.
