New York, Sept. 24 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a roundtable meeting on Wednesday with several members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and representatives of major American companies, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaibani, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
The meeting discussed investment opportunities in Syria and ways to expand cooperation and partnerships in economic and development sectors, particularly energy, technology, healthcare and banking services.
The discussions addressed potential contributions to reconstruction and economic recovery efforts.
On Sept. 14, Damascus hosted an economic delegation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce comprising representatives of 50 companies and more than 80 delegates.
The delegation held meetings with Syrian officials to discuss investment opportunities and ways to enhance economic partnerships between the two sides.
