Damascus, Sept. 9 (SANA) Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani received Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in Damascus on Wednesday for talks on bilateral relations and developments in southern Syria.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries across various fields, as well as preparations for the third session of the Higher Coordination Council, scheduled to be held in Damascus in October.
The two ministers also discussed developments in southern Syria and progress in implementing the tripartite roadmap agreed by Syria, Jordan and the United States concerning Sweida province.
Last month, al-Shaibani and Safadi discussed by phone the latest preparations related to the Higher Coordination Council, as well as regional developments.
