Syrian and Lebanese Ministers discuss sustainable development to support refugee return

Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat discussed with her Lebanese counterpart Haneen al-Sayed the importance of sustainable development as a key factor in creating the necessary conditions for the return of Syrian refugees from Lebanon.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Summit for Social Development in Doha, and focused on mobilizing support to enhance social and economic stability in host communities

Both ministers underlined the need for regional and international cooperation to advance development programs that promote stability, self-reliance, and equitable recovery, emphasizing that sustainable development and dignified return are mutually reinforcing goals.
