Islamabad, Aug. 20 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met Thursday with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad.
The meeting focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in various fields.
The two sides also discussed regional and international developments and efforts to promote security and stability in the region.
Al-Shaibani arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday at the head of a high-level delegation, marking the first visit by a Syrian foreign minister to Pakistan in 19 years and reflecting the importance of developing bilateral relations and strengthening communication between the two countries.
On August 14, marking Pakistan’s Independence Day, Syria’s Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan and expanding cooperation across various fields.
