Damascus, May 3 (SANA) President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport in Syria, Omar Hosari on Sunday inspected construction work on a second terminal at Damascus International Airport as part of efforts to expand capacity and upgrade infrastructure.
Hosari reviewed progress on the project, including completion rates and timelines, the authority said on its Telegram channel.

The expansion is part of a broader agreement with a consortium of international companies led by Urbacon Holding (UCC), aimed at modernizing the airport in line with international standards.
In December last year, the authority signed final contracts worth about $4 billion with the consortium, which includes companies from Qatar, Türkiye and the United States, to develop, expand and operate the airport.
