Damascus, July 24 (SANA) Twenty-two people were injured in road accidents and fires across Syria in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said Friday.
Emergency teams responded to 17 traffic accidents that left 20 people injured, according to the Civil Defense’s daily report. Rescue crews provided first aid, transported the injured to hospitals and secured the accident sites.
Firefighters also tackled 181 fires, including one involving agricultural land. The remaining fires occurred in homes, commercial premises, vegetation, trees, garbage and electrical infrastructure.
Two people were injured in the fires, with one transferred to Al-Mujtahid Hospital in Damascus. The fires also caused material damage.
The latest figures follow incidents reported a day earlier that left one person dead and 31 others injured across Syria.
