Damascus, July 18 (SANA)– Two people were killed and 19 others injured in traffic accidents across Syria over the past 24 hours, while Syrian Civil Defense teams also extinguished 132 fires, the Civil Defense said on Saturday.
According to Syrian Civil Defense, emergency teams responded to 17 traffic accidents that left one dead and 19 civilians injured. The teams provided first aid, transported the injured to hospitals for treatment, cleared accident sites and secured the affected areas.
Civil Defense teams also responded to 132 fires, including one that broke out in agricultural fields and crops. The remaining fires affected homes, commercial properties, grass, trees, waste and electrical wiring.
On Thursday, Civil Defense teams responded to various traffic accidents and fires across various parts of Syria, incidents that resulted in 25 injuries.
