Damascus, June 24 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa received Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Asylum and Migration Bart van den Brink in Damascus on Wednesday, in the presence of Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Syria and the Netherlands and explored ways to enhance cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
Earlier in the day, al-Shaibani held separate discussions with the Dutch delegation focusing on prospects for strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in a number of areas.
The visit forms part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between Syria and European countries as Damascus seeks to broaden cooperation with regional and international partners.
