Cairo, June 4 (SANA) Syria is participating in the 49th meeting of the Arab Permanent Postal Committee, which opened on Thursday at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
The Syrian delegation is headed by Emad al-Den Hamad, director of the Syrian Post Establishment.
According to a statement issued by the institution, the participation is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of postal and financial services, strengthen operational and technical capabilities and keep pace with regional and international developments in the postal sector.
The Arab Permanent Postal Committee serves as a specialized technical body operating under the Council of Arab Ministers of Communications and Information and with the support of the Arab League.
The committee works to coordinate postal policies and strategies among Arab countries, improve the quality and efficiency of postal services and promote the implementation of international standards issued by the Universal Postal Union.
