Kuwait, Aug. 21 (SANA) Kuwait strongly condemned Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and continued settlement policies in the occupied West Bank, including the E1 settlement project, the Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry said the attacks undermine efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and implement the comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

It also condemned illegal settlement policies and rejected measures aimed at changing the legal and demographic status of the occupied Palestinian territories.

The ministry urged the international community and Security Council to protect Palestinian rights and support a just peace leading to an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.

The death toll from the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,417, with 174,360 injured.

The E1 plan aims to link Ma’ale Adumim with occupied Jerusalem, effectively severing geographical continuity between the northern and southern West Bank.
