Deir Ezzor, Syria, May 27 (SANA) Rising water levels in the Euphrates River swept away parts of the earth bridge at the al-Siyasiya crossing in Deir Ezzor, putting the crossing out of service and disrupting transportation between both sides of the city.
SANA’s reporter in Deir Ezzor said the bridge drifted due to flooding and increased water flow in the river, making it unusable for residents crossing between the two banks of the Euphrates.
Following the damage to the bridge, residents have been relying on small river ferries at the al-Siyasiya water crossing to move between both sides of the city.
The disruption has added to the difficulties faced by residents who depend on the crossing for daily transportation, work, and essential needs.
