Damascus, May 24 (SANA) Syrian Civil Defense teams responded to multiple traffic accidents and fire incidents across several provinces over the past 24 hours, leaving three people dead and 15 others injured.

The Civil Defense said Sunday on its Telegram channel that seven traffic accidents were recorded across the country, killing one person and injuring 11 others.

Rescue teams provided first aid to the injured before transporting them to hospitals for further treatment.

Civil Defense crews also responded to 40 fire incidents nationwide during the same period, including 13 fires that broke out in homes and commercial shops.

Two children were killed in one of the fires, while their father and brother suffered burn injuries. Two additional people experienced temporary suffocation caused by smoke inhalation, according to the Civil Defense.

On Saturday, Civil Defense teams responded to a series of emergencies involving fires and traffic accidents across several Syrian provinces.
