Quneitra, May 20 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained two young men from the villages of al-Bassali and Um al-Lawqas in southern Quneitra countryside early on Wednesday following a raid on the area.

According to SANA’s reporter in Quneitra, an Israeli force consisting of several military vehicles entered al-Bassali farm, detained one man, and conducted searches in residents’ homes during the incursion.

The Israeli forces previously advanced last Monday along the road linking Ufania village and Khan Arnabeh town in northern Quneitra countryside, where they set up a temporary checkpoint before withdrawing.

Israel has continued its violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, arrests, and land seizures.

Syria has repeatedly demanded the full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its southern territory, stressing that all Israeli measures in the area are null and void under international law and carry no legal standing.
