Rabat, May 14 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani expressed his deep appreciation to Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita for the warm reception and hospitality extended during his visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Al-Shaibani said in a post on “X” on Thursday : “I extend my sincere gratitude and highest appreciation to my brother, His Excellency Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, for the genuine warmth of reception and generous hospitality that reflect the deep-rooted heritage of Morocco and the nobility of its people, as well as for the rich fraternal meetings that embodied the depth of the strong relations between our two brotherly countries.”

He added that the meetings represented “a bright milestone that strengthened prospects for cooperation and integration,” expressing hope that they would constitute “a new building block toward establishing a firm strategic partnership that serves the interests of our two peoples and opens broader horizons for shared progress and prosperity.”

The remarks came following official talks held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, between the Syrian and Moroccan foreign ministers on ways to enhance bilateral relations and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Earlier on Thursday, al-Shaibani inaugurated the Syrian Embassy in Rabat, declaring resumption of ties with Kingdom of Morocco after a 12-year hiatus.
