Manama, Jan.12 (SANA) Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani affirmed their support for efforts by the Syrian government to rebuild the country and safeguard its security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The remarks came during talks held on Sunday in the Bahraini capital, Manama, where the two ministers discussed regional and international developments and ongoing efforts to promote security, stability and a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministers also stressed the importance of sustaining the ceasefire in Gaza and moving forward with the second phase of the agreement in line with U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan. They underscored the need for the immediate and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to the enclave.
Safadi and Al Zayani further expressed support for Lebanon’s security and stability and emphasized backing diplomatic efforts to resolve the crises in Yemen and Sudan in a way that meets the aspirations of their peoples and contributes to regional stability.
During his visit, Safadi attended Bahrain’s Diplomatic Day, organized by the Bahraini Foreign Ministry, and took part in a dialogue session on bilateral relations and regional and international issues. He highlighted the importance of Bahrain’s membership in the UN Security Council amid current regional challenges.
