Aleppo, May 12 (SANA) Syria’s Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Murhaf Abu Qasra met on Tuesday with community leaders and residents of Aleppo, in the presence of Aleppo Governor Azzam al-Ghareeb, Assistant Minister of Defense for the Northern Region Brigadier Fahim Issa, and Director of the Veterans Association Brigadier Hussein Assaf.
The meeting comes within the framework of boosting direct communication between the Ministry of Defense and community activities, and listening to visions and proposals related to the reality of the ministry in the governorate, according to a statement released by the Ministry on its Telegram channel.
Minister Abu Qasra also visited the Aleppo Fatwa Office and met Mufti Ibrahim Shasho during a broader visit that included talks with local officials.
