Damascus, May 6 (SANA) Syria’s General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport said 34,347 passengers traveled through Damascus International Airport during April, as aviation activity continued to recover following regional disruptions earlier this year.
Statistics published by the authority on its Telegram channel showed that arrivals reached 18,385 passengers, while departures totaled 15,962.
The airport recorded 492 flights during the month, with nine airlines operating through Damascus International Airport.
The authority said Syrian airspace and airports have seen a rapid operational recovery following a temporary slowdown linked to regional tensions.
According to the authority’s data, 2,523 aircraft crossed Syrian airspace in April, alongside the resumption of operations by 12 international airlines through Damascus and Aleppo international airports.
