Damascus, May 4 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa met with Turkish businessman Fettah Tamince, founder and chairman of Rixos Hotels, at the People’s Palace in Damascus.
The meeting discussed prospects for investment in Syria, particularly in the tourism and hospitality sectors, and opportunities to launch projects drawing on Tamince’s experience.
The two sides also reviewed the current investment landscape in Syria and plans to expand the business environment and provide incentives in sectors including tourism, energy, real estate development, and infrastructure rehabilitation.
Tamince is one of Türkiye’s leading businessmen and a prominent figure in the hospitality, real estate, and tourism sectors. He also chairs FT Group and is the founder of The Land of Legends theme park and hotel complex, as well as a developer of projects including Tersane Istanbul and the Aliya Hotel in Istanbul.
He founded Rixos Hotels and developed it into a global brand, launching projects that combine hospitality, entertainment, culture, and urban development, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
