Damascus, April 20 (SANA) Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh discussed with French Chargé d’Affaires in Damascus Jean-Baptiste Faivre ways to develop and expand bilateral cooperation in several priority sectors.
During the meeting, held Monday at the ministry headquarters in Damascus, the two sides reviewed prospects for benefiting from French expertise in the fields of emergency response, disaster management and mine action, in a way that supports Syria’s institutional capacities in these vital areas.
They also discussed opportunities to enhance training and technical frameworks, while stressing the importance of exchanging practical expertise to strengthen national preparedness and improve emergency response systems.
Minister al-Saleh underscored the importance of expanding international cooperation and partnerships in support of the national interest.
For his part, Faivre expressed France’s readiness to support efforts aimed at developing Syria’s disaster management and emergency response capabilities.
