Damascus, April 5 (SANA) Units of the Interior Ministry arrested two individuals for their involvement in an attack on the UAE embassy in Damascus.

The ministry said in a statement on Sunday that legal measures had been immediately initiated against the involved persons in accordance with established procedures.

It stressed that any attack on diplomatic missions is a red line that will not be tolerated, affirming continued vigilance and firm action to protect such missions and ensure respect for diplomatic norms.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates had reaffirmed its firm and consistent rejection of any attack or attempt to approach embassies and accredited diplomatic premises in Syria, emphasizing that these facilities are protected under international law and diplomatic conventions and represent relations between states and peoples.
