Tartous, April 5 (SANA) The gas tanker GAS HELENA arrived on Sunday at the Banyas oil terminal, carrying about 2,030 metric tons of gas, as part of efforts to ensure continued supplies and enhance stability in the local market.
The Syrian Petroleum Company said in a statement to SANA that its technical teams had begun mooring the tanker and unloading its cargo into storage tanks at the Banyas gas facility, following the completion of necessary technical procedures to ensure operational safety.
The company noted that gas supply operations through the oil terminal are ongoing, with additional tankers carrying the material expected to arrive successively, pending the completion of docking and unloading procedures.
It added that the Banyas oil port had received several gas tankers last month as part of a plan aimed at securing continuous supplies and meeting market demand.
