UN delegation tours Jobar, Damascus to assess reconstruction needs
United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Director Alexander De Croo with Syrian officials in Jobar neighborhood

Damascus, Apr. 1 (SANA) A United Nations delegation headed by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Director Alexander De Croo visited Jobar district in Damascus on Wednesday to assess the extent of destruction and damage caused by shelling by the ousted regime on these areas.

SANA reporter said the delegation toured affected areas in Jobar to review conditions on the ground and evaluate the scale of damage to infrastructure and residential buildings.

The delegation is scheduled to visit several areas across Syria as part of a broader mission aimed at identifying needs and priorities through field tours and meetings with a number of officials.

The visit comes within the framework of cooperation between the Syrian government and international organizations to accelerate reconstruction efforts and improve service delivery across the country, particularly in the most heavily affected areas.
