Quneitra, March 29 (SANA) Approximately 14 military vehicles belonging to the Israeli occupation forces penetrated Syrian territory on Sunday, advancing along the road connecting the town of Jabata al-Khashab and the village of Ofania at the al-Hurriya junction in the northern countryside of Quneitra.
According to SANA’s correspondent, the intruding forces established a temporary checkpoint, conducting searches of passersby and private vehicles. The occupation units also carried out raids and inspections of several civilian homes in the area, causing significant distress among local residents.
These actions represent a continued violation of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement. Israel has persisted in its incursions into southern Syria, targeting citizens through raids, arbitrary arrests, and the leveling of agricultural lands.
Syria continues to demand the immediate withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its lands, reiterating that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are “null and void” under international law. The Syrian government further calls upon the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by deterring these illegal practices and compelling Israel to complete a full withdrawal from southern Syrian territories.
