Hama, March 28 (SANA) Local authorities in Hama province said reconciliation was reached following an incident in al-Suqaylabiyah, resulting in the release of several detainees and measures to restore community stability.

Brigadier General Mulham al-Shantout, head of internal security in Hama, told SANA that security forces held a meeting with bishops and community leaders from the al-Ghab region to coordinate efforts to contain tensions and address the aftermath of the incident.

Al-Shantout said the discussions led to a resolution through reconciliation. Several detainees were released after it was confirmed they were not directly involved, while the primary involved person remains in custody. Investigations are ongoing in accordance with legal procedures to determine further action.

He emphasized that authorities will continue to follow the case closely to ensure justice and maintain stability in the area.

On Friday, an internal security source told SANA that forces intervened to break up a group fight in al-Suqaylabiyah involving several young men. The forces contained the situation, restored calm, and arrested a number of those involved, while taking the necessary measures to maintain public security and prevent similar incidents from recurring.
