Damascus, March 25 (SANA) Minister of Administrative Development, Mohammad Hassan al-Skaf, announced on Wednesday the completion of a comprehensive restructuring of Syrian ministries and public bodies. This milestone follows a year of intensive technical workshops, bilateral sessions, and specialized meetings aimed at redefining mandates and eliminating administrative overlap.
Writing on “X”, Minister al-Skaf explained that these new organizational frameworks are being systematically approved by the Committee for the Adoption of Organizational Structures, established under Decree No. 43 of 2025. The primary goal of this overhaul is to ensure clear role definitions, resolve functional duplication, and accelerate the decision-making process across all state institutions.
“Our conviction is that the quality of administration is measured by its impact on the lives of citizens,” al-Skaf stated. He highlighted that the ministry is prioritizing sectors linked to essential public services. In this context, the new organizational structure for the Ministry of Education has been officially approved, reflecting its direct role in improving educational quality and human development.
This development marks a significant step in Syria’s broader institutional transformation. By modernizing administrative frameworks, the government aims to enhance operational efficiency and ensure that public institutions are capable of delivering tangible results on the ground.
