Damascus, March 23 (SANA) Israeli forces advanced Monday into the vicinity of the Ruwaihina Dam in the northern countryside of Quneitra province in southwest Syria, according to a SANA reporter.
The reporter said an Israeli infantry unit of about 30 soldiers moved toward the dam area and remained deployed there.
The development comes amid ongoing tensions in southern Syria, where Damascus has accused Israel of repeatedly violating the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions, raids and land-clearing operations.
Syrian officials have reiterated calls for Israel to withdraw from Syrian territory, stressing that such actions are considered null and void under international law and urging the international community to take steps to halt these practices.
